Ajay Mittal leads the Responsible Business Advisory at EWX, bringing over a decade of cross-sectoral experience in sustainability, climate strategy, and social impact. He works with businesses, foundations, and civil society organizations to integrate environmental and social responsibility into core strategy and operations.
Ajay previously served as Director – Climate Change Programs at EARTHDAY.ORG for India and South Asia, where he led large-scale campaigns, regional partnerships, and policy engagement. He is a Stakeholder Council Member of 1t.org India, a World Economic Forum initiative focused on ecosystem restoration.
As an independent consultant, Ajay has supported the development of nature-based carbon projects, including afforestation, agroforestry, and mangrove restoration, collaborating with grassroots organizations and global platforms. He also advises on high-impact CSR programs, ESG integration, and nature-positive business models across diverse sectors.
Recognized as a Water Hero by the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India, Ajay has been invited to speak at international forums, including the One Young World Summit, for his work on climate action and community resilience.
